Port Glasgow Credit Union has now completed a merger which means you are now officially a member of Right Way Credit Union.

Our team in Port Glasgow and Paisley are working hard to ensure that this transition is seamless and are on hand to support you with any enquiries you may have. In the meantime, we have a list of frequently asked questions that may be helpful for you.

*Please note, due to the merger there may be a slight delay on when you can log in, if you are having issues logging in, please check that you are using the correct member number format to log in (300000 three hundred thousand e.g. if you member number at Port Glasgow was 1234 it is now 301234).

Frequently Asked Questions

No, you do not have to anything – your account will be automatically transferred over to Right Way Credit Union.

Yes, there will be a slight change to your membership number, for example, you will now have to add 300 000 (Three hundred thousand) to your original member number.

E.G. If your PGCU member number was –

1234

Your new member number would be 301234.

If your PGCU member Number was –

888

Your new number would be 300 888

You may need to check that we hold up to date information on your account for example your beneficiary details, do you have a beneficiary on your account – if not,  you will be required to add one.

For more information on how to add this, please ask a member of our team for support in adding this to your account.

Yes! At Right Way you can check your balance online, download statements, request share withdrawals, and apply for loans 24/7.

You will though, need to make sure that ALL your details are up to date to access the new services.

What you need to do:

For online access, we require an up-to-date email address and mobile number.

For online withdrawals and in branch withdrawals over £500 we require verification of your bank details (sort code and account number) such as a bank card, bank statement or access to your online account. Please note, your bank card may not display this information. note of your bank details.

*Please note, when logging in to the Right Way Credit Union App/member area for the first time, please click on ‘RESET PASSWORD’, which will then email you a link where you will be required to enter your member number and set up a new password. Once complete you can log in and access your account online.

No, not in the immediate, you will though, be able to access all our services in our Greenock Branch (Tail O’ The Bank), Paisley Branch and Dunoon.

Not losing but gaining more options and a bigger team to help and support you with all your credit union needs.

Yes! LPLS is a free service in which Right Way Credit Union provides to members and their family in the unfortunate event of your passing. As a member of Right Way, savings up to the value of £3000 are covered and £15000 in loans. For more information on this free service and for terms and conditions please speak to a member of the team.  

Right Way Credit Union is authorised by the Prudential Regulation Authority and Regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority Firm Ref: 446350. As part of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) your savings up to £85,000 are safe.
