Credit Control Officer

At Right Way Credit Union, we stand out from the crowd; an innovative and dynamic, not-for-profit, community focused credit union, who is looking to recruit a like-minded volunteer to support our Credit Control Department.  

 

Credit Control is a key role within any organisation but more so non-profits like your local credit union.   

 

Not repaying the credit union is like not repaying your friend the money you borrowed from them…  

 

Therefore, we are looking add a volunteer Credit Control Officer position to our team.  

 

As the Credit Control Officer, you will focus on  contacting  those members who are falling behind in payments and setting up affordable repayment plans that suit the member and the credit union.

Whether you are studying part-time/full-time, looking for some work experience to gain new skills or you have some time through the week and want to give back to your local community then please do get in touch.  

 

 This role would require you to dedicate 4 – 8 hours  per  week and be based in the central office in Paisley.  

 

 The following skillsets are required for this post: 

 

• Excellent communication and customer service skills  

• Patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations  
• Analytical skills and thorough attention to detail  
• The ability to listen and negotiate with customers  
• Starting legal proceedings if members do not pay their loans on time  
• Consulting with Sheriff Officers and Solicitors. 
• Persistence and determination  
• Familiarity with data entry software  
• Ability to work well in a team.
