Renfrewshire Wide Credit Union
41 High Street, Paisley
Volunteers are the lifeline of the credit union. It is managed by volunteers both strategically and on a day to day basis. Without volunteers it simply would not exist. Every volunteer plays an important part in the credit union and its development, right from cashiers through to the Chairperson.
BENEFITS OF VOLUNTEERING
One of our volunteers, Stuart, has been volunteering in the credit union for an astonishing ten years because he believes it's an extremely rewarding way to help the community.
“I have met some great people through working here over the years” he explains.
One of our volunteers Conor McCart who has just started his new job with Nationwide has benefitted greatly from being a volunteer at Renfrewshire-Wide Credit Union:
"From day one in the credit union I was made to feel like a valued member of the team. The staff are so friendly and supportive and I have really enjoyed my time here. My experiences here made such a difference when I was interviewing and I would thoroughly recommend the credit union to anyone looking to volunteer."
We wish Conor all the best in his new job, but don’t worry he’s not going too far as he will still be volunteering with us on the occasional Saturday!
Our Erskine collection in Bargarran community centre has temporarily stopped as we no longer have the volunteers to cover this collection. The collection used to take place on a Thursday evening between 6pm and 7pm. We are always looking for volunteers to help us cover our collection points not only for Erskine but for Renfrew and Linwood as well. If you are interested in volunteering then please send us an email to email@example.com
Full training and support is given to all our volunteers.
